Support & Safety
Need a hand, or seen something that does not belong on ROK? Here is how to reach us and what you can do yourself, right now, from the app or the website.
Contact us
Email ROK@KindnessWorldwide.org. We answer support and safety mail within two business days, and we prioritise anything involving a minor or an immediate risk of harm.
Random Opportunities for Kindness is a project of Kindness Worldwide, a nonprofit organisation.
Safety tools built into ROK
You do not have to wait for us. Every member can do all of this themselves.
Report a post or comment
Tap the ••• menu on any post, comment, or reply and choose Report. Pick a reason, add detail if you want. Reports are private — the author is never told who reported them. Our team reviews every report, usually within 24 hours, and content reported for child-safety, sexual, or violent material is pulled from public view immediately, before a human looks at it.
Block a member
Same ••• menu, choose Block. You stop seeing their posts, comments, and notifications everywhere in ROK, straight away. They are not told they were blocked. You can undo it any time from Account → Blocked members.
What we do not allow
Harassment, hate speech, threats, nudity or sexual content, anything that endangers a child, spam and scams, impersonation, and content promoting self-harm. Posts that break these rules are removed, and accounts that repeatedly break them are suspended or banned.
Delete your account any time — in the app at You → Account → Delete account, or on the web at rokindness.org/delete-account. This permanently removes your profile, your @handle, your posts, and your personal data. It cannot be undone. Locked out and can't sign in? Email us and we'll do it for you.
In an emergency
ROK is not an emergency service and we cannot respond in real time. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or 911 for an emergency. To report child sexual abuse material in the US, contact the NCMEC CyberTipline.
