Invite friends and share kindness
Use your invite link, QR code and printable kindness cards to grow your ripple, and share acts so others can pay it forward.

Why invites matter
When someone joins ROK from something you shared, they become part of your ripple. Every act they record earns you 5 points, and every act from people further down your chain earns you 1. Your Ripple Pond grows with each new person.
Your invite link and QR code
All your sharing tools are in one place, called Share & spread kindness.
In the app
Tap You, then scroll down to Share & spread kindness.
On the website
Open your dashboard: tap You at the bottom on a phone, or select your photo, then Dashboard. Scroll down to Share & spread kindness.
At the top is Your invite link. Tap Copy to copy it, or Share to send it by text, email or any app. The link uses your @handle and opens a short intro to ROK, then sign-up.
- QR code: let a friend scan it with their phone camera. It opens your invite link.
- Wallet invite card: a wallet-sized picture with your QR code and handle.
- Kindness cards to hand out: print a sheet of cards to give away (see below).
In the app
Open Wallet invite card and tap Share card to save or send it.
On the website
Open Wallet invite card and select Download card to save it.
Good to know: The wallet card needs a username. If you haven't claimed one, it asks you to do that first.
Printable kindness cards
Kindness cards are small printed cards with a QR code. Keep a few with you and leave one with each kind act. When someone scans a card, they can join ROK as part of your ripple.
- Step 1: In Share & spread kindness, open Kindness cards to hand out.
- Step 2: Choose 10, 20 or 50 cards.
- Step 3: Make the sheet: select Generate sheet on the website, or tap Generate printable sheet in the app.
- Step 4: On the print page, select Print. If nothing happens on a phone, use your browser's Share menu, then Print.
Tip: Cards fit Avery 5371 business-card sheets, 10 to a sheet. In the print settings, set margins to None and turn off headers and footers.
You can also link a card to one of your acts, so whoever gets it sees exactly what you did. Do it on the screen right after you post: under Link a printed card to this ROK, type the code printed on the card (like ABCDE-FGHJK). On the website you can also use the scan button to read the card's QR code.
Good to know: Linking is only offered right after posting, so keep your cards nearby. A card that isn't linked still works: it invites people to join as part of your ripple.
Add who inspired you
Did a friend inspire you to join, but you signed up without their link? You can add them once.
- Step 1: Go to Account & settings and find Who inspired you to join?
- Step 2: Type their @handle, or paste an act link or invite link they shared. Then tap Find.
- Step 3: Check that it's the right person, then tap Yes, that's them.
You'll appear in their Ripple Pond, and they get the points they would have earned from the acts you've already posted.
Good to know: You can only do this once, so double-check. If you don't see Who inspired you to join?, your account is already linked to the person who invited you.
Questions
- Which should I share: my invite link or an act?
- Both work. Your invite link connects people to you. An act link also shows them what you did, and joining from it connects them to that act.
- I changed my username. Do my old links still work?
- Links and QR codes that used your old handle may stop pointing to you, so share your new invite link. Printed kindness cards keep working.
