Kindness Week Worldwide 2026
Eight days of kindness around World Kindness Day, Nov 7–14, 2026: how to take part, how points count, and where to follow the board.
For everyone on ROK · Updated November 2, 2026
What it is
Kindness Week Worldwide 2026 runs from Saturday, Nov 7 through Saturday, Nov 14, around World Kindness Day on Friday, Nov 13. People everywhere post acts of kindness on Ripples of Kindness, and a special board adds up the points from that week. There's nothing extra to sign up for: every act you post during the week counts.
Days follow U.S. Eastern time, wherever you are. The week starts at midnight Eastern as Nov 7 begins and ends at midnight Eastern as Nov 14 ends. For example:
- Pacific time: 9 p.m. Friday, Nov 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov 14.
- London: 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov 7 until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov 15.
Good to know: What counts is when you post the act. An act posted before Nov 7 doesn't count on this board, even if you edit it during the week.
How to take part
Do something kind, big or small. Then post it during the week: pick a category, say what you did, and add a photo or video if you like.
In the app
Tap Record in the middle of the tab bar. When you're done, tap Post act of kindness.
On the website
Choose Record Act at the top of the page, or Record in the bottom bar on a phone. When you're done, choose Submit ROK.
Tip: Post each act on the day you do it, so nothing slips outside the week. For the full walk-through, see Post an act of kindness.
How points count
- 10 points for every act of kindness you post during the week.
- 5 points each time someone you inspired posts an act that week.
- 1 point each time someone further down your ripple posts one: someone they inspired, and so on.
These are your usual ROK points (see Points, ripples and your Ripple Pond). The board just adds up the ones from acts posted during the week, and your all-time total keeps growing as usual.
Not counted here: acts posted before or after the week, ripple points that arrive during the week for older acts, bonus points that don't come from an act, and acts that are removed.
Good to know: Only members shown on the leaderboard appear on the board. If Show me on the leaderboard is off, you still earn the points, but your name isn't listed. The setting is under More → Account & settings in the app, or on your account page on the website.
Where to find it
In the app
- Feed tab: tap the Kindness Week Worldwide · Nov 7–14 banner at the top (See Kindness Week Worldwide) to open the week's screen.
- Leaders tab (or More → Leaderboard if you're signed in): tap the Kindness Week Worldwide pill. Below the pills, About Kindness Week Worldwide opens the week's screen.
Good to know: If you close the feed banner, it comes back when the week starts, and again when it ends. The leaderboard link is there for as long as the pill is.
On the website
- The Kindness Week Worldwide page.
- The banner at the top of the Feed: choose See Kindness Week Worldwide.
- The Leaderboard: choose the Kindness Week Worldwide pill, or open the full board directly.
The banner and the leaderboard pill appear about a month before the week and stay through Dec 28, two weeks after the final standings are in. The week's page shows the dates, what counts, the top 10, a Share button and See the full board.
The page changes with the calendar. Before the week it counts down (“Starts in …”). During the week it says Happening now. Afterward it thanks everyone, then shows Final standings once the totals stop changing.
Standings, and when they're final
During the week, the board says Live · totals update every few minutes, so a new act can take a few minutes to show up.
After Nov 14, it says Standings for Kindness Week Worldwide 2026. Totals can still shift a little until Dec 14, 2026, while posts are reviewed. A post might be removed, or someone might link the person who inspired them late. Only acts posted during the week ever count.
After Dec 14, the standings stop changing, and both the board and the Kindness Week Worldwide page show Final standings. Tied totals share a rank.
Good to know: The leaderboard pill and the feed banner stay through Dec 28, so the final standings are easy to find for two weeks. After that, the Kindness Week Worldwide page on the website keeps them.
Ideas, and bringing others along
- Thank a veteran on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov 11.
- Rake leaves or carry groceries for a neighbor.
- Write a thank-you note to a teacher, nurse or bus driver.
- Call or visit someone who might be lonely.
- Lend a hand at a volunteer opportunity in Get Involved.
Bring friends along. Tap Share on the week's page to send them the link. Or send Your invite link, on the You tab in the app or your dashboard on the website. When someone joins through your link and posts during the week, you earn 5 points for each of their acts. See Invite friends and share kindness.
Questions
- I don't live in the U.S. Can I take part?
- Yes, it's worldwide. Just remember the days follow U.S. Eastern time.
- Do my acts still count for my groups?
- Yes, as always, when Count this toward your groups is on. The Kindness Week Worldwide board ranks people, not groups.
- Why am I not on the board?
- You may not have points from the week yet, or Show me on the leaderboard may be off. The full board lists the top 50. When you're signed in, it still shows your own total, just for you.
